Eiger Award Verleihung

On June 19 the Eiger Award will be presented for the third time.

The Eiger Award is presented to those who, through their great achievements in climbing, manage to convey the fascination of the mountains to the general public. On presenting the Eiger Award we unite the mysticism of the mountains with those silent achievers, and together celebrate accomplishments that go beyond the realms of any normal scale.
On 19 June the Eiger Award will be presented for the third time. Following Ueli Steck, who received the first Eiger Award in 2008, Simone Moro and Denis Urubko were together honoured with the Eiger Award last year.
The official conferment takes place at an alpine, festive ceremony in the Congress Hall in Grindelwald. Röbi Koller will present the Mountain Programme in collaboration with Thomas Ulrich, Linard Bardill, Thomas Bucheli, the prize winners and exclusive hutting specialities.
