Presentation of the Eiger Award 2010


The presentation of the Eiger Award will take place on 19. June 2010

In future the Eiger Award will be presented every year to a top mountaineer. It is awarded according to the following criteria:
  • Repeated top mountaineering and/or personal achievements in the mountains
  • The ability to convey mountaineering as an experience and adventure
  • Respect of the mountains as a source of inspiration and creativity
  • Noticeable contribution to the development of mountaineering


Nominations can be made immediately.

The jury is happy to accept nominations right away. Those qualifying for nomination are men and women of all ages and from all corners of the world who, with their exceptional mountaineering achievements, have made a name for themselves.
